How to Verify FSC Claims on Paper Packaging Before You Approve an Order
A supplier can hold a valid FSC chain-of-custody certificate and still ship you an order that does not carry a valid FSC claim. The certificate belongs to an organization. The claim belongs to a specific product and a specific transaction. Before you approve a paper packaging order, three things need to line up: the item you are buying, the supplier identity and scope shown in FSC's public records, and the claim written on the sales and delivery documents.
